Instructions for Applying for POST Certifications

Dear Members,

Now that the tentative agreement is ratified and the City Council approved our contract, we want to provide you with clear instructions on how you can take advantage of the POST incentives.

Click the button below for a detailed, step-by-step guide on how to apply for your Intermediate and Advanced POST certificates. To avoid denial or delay of your application, please follow the instructions carefully.

If you do not have your basic POST certificate, POST sent you an email invitation to apply. Once you log in to your POST account, your profile should have an alert indicating you have a pending application. Please finalize your basic application prior to applying for Advanced or Intermediate.

Payroll will need to be notified of your certificate status. We are still finalizing the details for making that notification. Once we have confirmed the correct method, we will promptly notify you.
